Matrice 200 and Matrice 210 V2 Drones, Cameras, and Accessories Online Store

The DJI Matrice 200 series sets the standard for industrial drones. It is IP43 water-resistant and has self-warming batteries giving the drone easy usability in less than ideal flying conditions. Another area where the Matrice 200 series excels is the different camera payloads available. For infrared, the Zenmuse XT and XT2 thermal cameras work seamlessly with this drone. For zoomability, the Zenmuse Z30 gives the Matrice 200 the power of 30x optical zoom. For agriculture, the Micasense RedEdge-M, Altum, and RedEdge-MX gives the drone the power to check crop health. For higher definition video, the Zenmuse X5S is a micro 4/3" interchangeable lens camera capable of capturing extremely high-resolution imagery. For everything from Search and Rescue to roof inspection, the Matrice 200 has an option or configuration to suit your needs. The Matrice 200 series was the first serious push from DJI into the commercial-grade drone market for enterprise and industrial use. With powerful features such as ADS-B sensing of manned aircraft, dual high capacity batteries for redundancy, dual and top-mounted camera gimbal mounts, IP43 water resistance, and powerful motors for up to 51 Mph of flight speed, the first generation of the Matrice 200 series was a true industrial drone game changer. The DJI Matrice 200 series became the go-to drone platform for public safety, police, inspections, firefighting, and SAR operations. The second version of the Matrice 200 series builds on the already impressive Matrice 200 series.

Models in the Matrice 200 Series

The base model in the Matrice 200 series is of course the Matrice 200. This aircraft is portable and convenient, with a foldable body frame, and a gimbal mount that remains in place during transport, ensuring quick deployment on-site. It is compatible with either the TB50 (standard) or TB55 (high capacity) batteries, and can be controlled with the Inspire 2 controller which can be used in conjunction with a smartphone or tablet for camera viewing, with access to the suite of intelligent flight features available through the DJI Go app. With a single-downward facing gimbal, the Matrice can be paired with the Zenmuse X4S, Zenmuse X5S, Zenmuse X7, Zenmuse Z30, Zenmuse XT, or Zenmuse XT2 cameras.

The next level up is the Matrice 210, with the stand-out difference of having a dual downward gimbal option, as well as an upward-facing gimbal mount. This flexibility in camera mounting number and position immensely increases the versatility and function of the basic Matrice frame. For example, a MicaSense RedEdge camera and a Zenmuse XT2 camera can be mounted side-by-side, to gather critical data on crop health with a whole arsenal of tools, all in a single flight. Or a Zenmuse Z30 and Zenmuse XT2 pairing can be used to get the greatest level of visual detail possible, while also gathering thermal data, for powerhouse inspection capabilities. Cameras compatible with the Matrice 210 are the same as for the Matrice 200, just with the ability to add more imaging capability per flight. Another nice upgrade that comes standard with the Matrice 210 is the Cendence controller (also compatible with the M200, available as an upgrade). This sophisticated remote control device developed by DJI offers the advantage of dials that can be customized by the user, and provides the ability to have a master-slave dual user connection, allowing one operator to control the drone while another user with a separate controller operates the camera. The Cendence also has the ability to connect to a smartphone or tablet, providing access to the DJI Go app.

Very similar to the Matrice 210 is the Matrice 210 RTK, with the added function of built-in Real-Time Kinematics. The advantage of the M210 RTK is that it offers a more stable GPS lock in environments with high electromagnetic interference such as around power lines. This ability allows greater precision for data collection, with up to centimeter-level accuracy, necessary in surveying, mapmaking, and photogrammetry, making it the logical choice for industries such as engineering, construction, and mining.

You can learn more about the differences between the M200 and M210 in this blog post.

What gimbal cameras are compatible with the M200 Series V1 and V2 drones?

The Zenmuse X4s, X5S, X7, XT, XT2, and Z30 are compatible with the DJI Matrice 200 series V2.

The Matrice 200 Series V2 Difference

The Matrice 200 V2, Matrice 210 V2 and Matrice 210 RTK V2 have all been upgraded to ensure flight reliability and in-flight visibility.

Safety Beacons: The new safety beacons on both the top and bottom of the aircraft allow the drone to be seen at night or in low light conditions. In addition to the anti-collision beacons, front, bottom, and upper sensors detect and avoid obstacles while enabling precision hovering.

Transmission: The new Matrice 200 series uses the newest image transmission technology from DJI known as Ocusync 2.0. This system will give up to 1080P live video in 5 miles of range. In addition to increased transmission resolution at farther distance new secure data transmission system ensures that critical information stays safe with AES-256 data encryption.

Data Accuracy: Position data aligns the drones flight controller, GPS module, and any other DJI payloads for precise geotagging.

Discreet Mode: All lights on the UAV can be completely turned off in the DJI Pilot app. This allows for stealth mode for when situations call for unobtrusive drone operations.
