Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MicaSense Altum PT compatible with the DJI M350 RTK out of the box?

Yes. The Altum PT integrates natively with the DJI M350 via the DJI Skyport, no third-party gimbals or adapters needed. Just mount, connect, and fly.

What makes the Altum PT different from other multispectral sensors?

Unlike traditional sensors that capture only five bands, the Altum PT includes a high-res thermal camera and a 12 MP panchromatic sensor, giving you synchronized thermal, multispectral, and visual data in a single flight.

Can I process Altum PT data with DJI Terra or other mapping software?

You’ll need specialized software such as Pix4Dfields, Agisoft, or MicaSense’s own Atlas platform. DJI Terra does not currently support multispectral processing from third-party payloads like the Altum PT.

How accurate is the thermal data from the Altum PT?

The FLIR thermal sensor is radiometrically calibrated, meaning it provides real temperature data ( not just relative heat mapping) suitable for environmental analysis, irrigation diagnostics, and more.

What kind of support does DSLRPros offer for the MicaSense Altum PT?

We offer payload consultation, integration support, and flight planning guidance. Whether you're outfitting a single drone or building out a fleet, our U.S.-based team ensures the Altum PT works flawlessly with your DJI M350 system.
