Freefly Armor for Alta X Gen2 NDAA (950-00174)

NDAA-compliant drone procurement typically occurs within structured government, defense, or public safety programs where long-term platform reliability is a program requirement, not just a preference.

Freefly Armor extends manufacturer defect coverage from one year to two, providing warranty infrastructure that aligns with the multi-year operational cycles common in compliant procurement programs. For operators who have made the deliberate decision to procure NDAA-compliant hardware, Armor applies that same level of planning to the service side of the operation.

Freefly Armor is only available at the time of purchase of a new Alta X Gen2 NDAA, either directly from the Freefly website or through an Authorized Reseller such as DSLRPros. It cannot be added to an Alta X Gen2 NDAA that is already in operation. If you are ordering multiple units and want each covered, a separate Armor purchase is required for each drone.

Freefly Armor extends the standard one-year manufacturer warranty to two full years, covering parts and labor for repairs needed due to manufacturer defects. It also covers FedEx Ground shipping costs to return the equipment to the operator after warranty service, along with applicable taxes, duty, and VAT on equipment re-entering the operator's country after service. Physical damage is not covered, and the extended warranty applies only to the aircraft itself — batteries, chargers, accessories, and payloads are excluded.

Freefly Fest is Freefly's annual event offering technical information exchange, access to the full Freefly team, product demonstrations, and insights into the product roadmap. Each Alta X Gen2 covered under Armor receives one free ticket to the event. Travel and accommodations to attend Freefly Fest are not included in the Armor plan and are the responsibility of the attendee.

Armor includes a 10% discount on any non-warranty service or training that Freefly offers for the covered aircraft during the two-year coverage period. This discount cannot be combined with other applicable discounts, though Freefly will always honor the higher of multiple applicable discounts. The discount applies for the full duration of Armor coverage and is valid for any eligible service or training scheduled within that period.

The first annual checkup service for the Alta X Gen2 is included with an Armor purchase. This covers standard inspection and service at Freefly within the checkup service scope — additional costs may apply if damage or wear exceeds the defined checkup thresholds. Shipping to Freefly for the checkup is not included in the Armor plan and is the operator's responsibility. Accessories not originally included with the Alta X chassis are also not covered under the checkup.
