Frequently Asked Questions

More questions? Speak with an Expert.

What is the minimum generator power required to run this charger?

For optimal performance, you should use a generator or inverter rated for at least 650W of continuous power per PRCS unit. If you plan to run multiple units from a single source, multiply the requirement accordingly. For example, three simultaneous units would require at least 1950W of continuous power.

Can I leave the lid closed while the batteries are charging?

No, the lid must remain open during the entire charging process. The system uses an integrated multi-fan cooling array to manage temperatures, and closing the lid restricts airflow. Keeping the lid open ensures that the safety sensors do not pause charging due to heat buildup.

What happens if my batteries are too hot immediately after a flight?

The PRCS includes intelligent thermal sensors that will automatically pause the charging process if a battery is detected as being too hot. It is a safety best practice to allow batteries to cool to room temperature before inserting them into the charger to prevent fire hazards.

Is this charger compatible with the Matrice 4TD batteries?

The Matrice 4T PRCS is designed specifically for the standard DJI Matrice 4T and 4E series Intelligent Flight Batteries. It is not compatible with the batteries used in the Matrice 4TD dock version. Always verify your battery model before attempting to use the rapid charging slots.

How should I maintain the charging system for long-term use?

Maintenance is simple and should be performed at least monthly. Use a clean air source with less than 50 psi to blow out any dust or debris from the charging slots and fan intake areas. This ensures that the cooling system remains efficient and the electrical contacts stay clean.
