The FLIR Vue Pro Thermal Gimbal Solution with Touch Screen Controller includes everything you need to mount a FLIR Vue Pro to your Phantom 4 drone, including a self-powered, easy to add/remove 2-axis gimbal and a touchscreen monitor for real-time thermal viewing. This solution doesn’t interfere with your Phantom’s normal operation, nor does it void your warranty.
Thanks to our new innovative approach a single UAV pilot can pilot the drone and operate the thermal and HD cameras with ease. We could have launched a solution sooner that required a second operator, but the return on investment for our customers just wouldn’t have made sense. Your business is on the line and we weren’t about to violate that hard-earned trust. This is the solution a lot of our customers have been asking for. A well thought out thermal solution that’s affordable on a smaller budget. It may not look as pretty as DJI fully integrated XT thermal camera, but it’s just as effective at a fraction of the price.
Using our innovative touchscreen that’s mounted onto your existing DJI Phantom 4 Advanced controller, users can now control all the functions the Flir Vue Pro thermal camera has to offer:
Thermal Camera Controls via Touch Screen
- 2 Axis gimbal control (Tilt & Roll)
- Change color palettes
- Record thermal video, take thermal pictures (real time or time lapse)
- Digitally zoom in on your subject matter
- Recalibrate the camera (FFC/NUC), ROI or Scene
Product Highlights
- Single UAV operator can pilot the drone and easily operate the thermal payload via touch screen controller. This is huge, no need for a second costly camera operator which most solutions require
- Conveniently install or remove gimbal via quick mounts
- No drilling or modifying your Phantom 4 drone or controller (your DJI warranty isn’t voided)
- Rechargable 9V battery power the controller for 2+ hours and the gimbal for 25-30 mins (rechargeable batteries included)
- Built-in , quality telemetry radio at 900mhz. Communication range up to 9 miles
- Thermal video monitor + your smartphone = Dual vision setup for thermal and HD visible cameras
- Built-in video downlink: Frequencies: 5.8ghz (line of sight video range of 1-2 miles)
Please note that the thermal gimbal does not offer geotagging capability
Five-Hour Real-Time Flight Reference

The Phantom 4 Advanced’s remote controller is designed with a 5.5-inch 1080p HD screen display that is twice as bright as screens on most smart devices. It works seamlessly with its integrated and upgraded Lightbridge HD video transmission system. Even at its maximum control range of 4.3 miles away, they work together in projecting sharp and real-time flight videos with for as long as 5 hours (on a full battery).
Outstanding Aerial Imaging Technology

The Phantom 4 Advanced is integrated with a 3-Axis Mechanical Gimbal Stabilizer camera that is capable of delivering 20-megapixel images and real 4K videos, thanks to its powerful 1- inch 20 MP CMOS sensor that guarantees a better dynamic range, improved tolerance for noise, and revved up low-light performance.
Together with its 2mm f/2.8 large aperture prime lens and fast mechanical shutter, the camera is able to capture photos at 1/2000th of a second, thus ensuring that the quadcopter only delivers clear, sharp, and detailed imagery even in high-speed motion.
Flawless Sensing Capacity with Vision Sensors

The FlightAutonomy System of Phantom 4 Advanced is composed of excellent vision sensors: Dual-band Satellite positioning (DPS and GLONASS, Ultrasonic Rangefinders and Redundant Sensors. With years of drone knowledge, these components permit the drone to hover exactly where the pilot directs it to.
GPS (Global Positioning System): Satellite navigation system used in the USA for acquiring real-time and accurate information even in harsh weather conditions.
GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System): High-precision space-based navigation system used in Russia and operated by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces.
Ultrasonic Rangefinders: Enables the drone to sense potential unwanted obstructions using high-frequency sound waves.
Redundant Sensors: Allows comparison of sent and received signals for safer, more accurate flights.
Advanced Intelligent Flight Modes

With intelligent flight modes, the pilot can command the Phantom 4 Advanced to shoot and track subjects a in specific way, fly in different directions at varying angles and speeds, respond to simple hand gestures, and safely return home on its own.
ActiveTrack

This unique DJI intelligent flight mode tracks a subject, including animals and moving vehicles, while keeping it in the camera frame. It also helps the aircraft to adjust its flight dynamics to fit different flight environments so it can focus on tracking the subject in three different ways:
Aside from automatically adjusting flight dynamics to fit the environment, it also allows the pilot to choose between specific tracking modes for shooting:
Spotlight follows the subject everywhere
Trace follows the subject from behind or in front of it and avoids obstacles
Profile follows the subject from the side and captures profile photos of the subject from different angles
Gesture

The Gesture Mode helps capture hands-free selfies and group photos using computer vision technology. Simply raise your arms in front of the camera while in Gesture Mode and the will place you in the middle of the frame. Raise your arms forward and the camera will start a three-second countdown before taking your photo.
TapFly

Similar to Draw Mode, TapFly allows the pilot to choose the direction of flight -- this time with just taps on the screen. The drone follows the direction of the tap and, at the same time, uses obstacle avoidance (in TapFly Forward mode) and allows the pilot to tilt and turn the gimbal to ensure safe, uninterrupted flights. The pilot can also choose between two specific TapFly control options:
TapFly Forward quadcopter only flies in a specific commanded direction
TapFly Free quadcopter only flies forward but camera can change its shooting direction.
