Drone LiDAR creates highly accurate and detailed models of whatever area is being scanned. These models can be used to extrapolate accurate measurements of distance and volume from building locations as well as dimensions and volume of excavated natural materials. LiDAR has a distinct advantage over traditional aerial photogrammetry by being able to penetrate dense canopies to get a map of the underlying terrain, making it particularly useful for forestry surveys in addition to the multiple other uses for LiDAR.
Drone LiDAR offers significant long-term cost savings in data collection across a wide range of industries
Fully Integrated LiDAR Drone Mapping Systems With Best Price/Performance Value in the Market.
What is Geo-MMS?
Geodetics’ Geo-MMS Mobile Mapping System is a cost-effective modular system for Drone-based Photogrammetry, LiDAR mapping and creation of RGB/multi-spectral colorized LiDAR point clouds.
At the heart of Geo-MMS is Geodetics’ dual-antenna inertial navigation payload integrated with LiDAR, RGB and multi-spectral sensors. Geodetics’ extensive suite of “one-click” advanced processing software provides a powerful, easy to use toolbox for drone-based mobile mapping.
Point & Pixel integrates LiDAR point clouds with RGB imagery resulting in stunning colorized point clouds.
Geodetics’ Point & Pixel is part of our Geo-MMS family of Mobile Mapping products. Point & Pixel combines the best of our Geo-Photomap and Geo-MMS LiDAR products integrating LiDAR point clouds with Photogrammetry delivering stunning colorized LiDAR point clouds.
Geo-Photomap integrates GPS/IMU with RGB imagery enabling GCP-free direct-georeferencing with significantly reduced sidelap, resulting in more coverage in less time.
Geo-Photomap is a new technology and capability offered by Geodetics’ Geo-MMS LiDAR Mobile Mapping System. Geo-PhotoMap tightly integrates GPS/IMU with RGB imagery resulting in direct-georeferencing of the captured images, allowing the capability of corridor mapping and vertical mapping:
The Geo-MMS LiDAR mapping application can be extended into industrial mapping of solar panels, where an accurate alignment of individual solar panels is vital. Flying at low altitude and speed provides sufficient LiDAR point density for accurate infrastructure alignment.
The HDL-32E LiDAR sensor is small, lightweight, ruggedly built and features up to 32 lasers across a 40° vertical field of view. The HDL-32E measures only 5.7" high x 3.4" in diameter, weighs less than two kilograms and was designed to exceed the demands of the most challenging real-world autonomous navigation, 3D mobile mapping and other LiDAR applications.
The HDL-32E LiDAR unit offers ± 2cm accuracy and up to roughly 1.39 Million points per second, meaning extremely accurate and dense point clouds making it perfect for almost any application.
Velodyne LiDAR's ULTRA Puck™ VLP-32C is the newest long-range LiDAR sensor in its product portfolio that combines best-in-class performance with a small form factor. A high-resolution LiDAR sensor that is cost- effective when compared to similar performance sensors but developed with automotive and aerial applications in mind to ensure reliability while delivering the performance demanded by the market. The VLP-32C retains the innovative breakthroughs in 3D LiDAR such as 360° surround view along with real-time 3D data that includes distance and calibrated reflectivity measurements along with rotational angles.
The VLP-32C LiDAR unit offers up to roughly 1.2 Million points per second and a range of up to 200m, meaning dense point clouds and easy use even when mapping areas with vast elevation changes.
Velodyne's new PUCK™ (VLP-16) sensor is the smallest, newest, and most advanced product in Velodyne's 3D LiDAR product range. Vastly more cost-effective than similarly priced sensors, and developed with mass production in mind, it retains the key features of Velodyne's breakthroughs in LiDAR: Real-time, 360°, 3D distance and calibrated reflectivity measurements.
The VLP-16 LiDAR unit offers up to 600,000 points per second with a range of up to 100m at the lowest price point of the three sensors, without sacrificing quality or functionality.
