Training Details

This class is geared towards members of the Public Safety community and specifically tailored to teach attendees how to start, maintain, and operate a UAS program within the agency/department.  The 8-hour session will consist of a combination of classwork and lots of hands-on flying experience.

Building Your UAS Program

UAS Operations for Public Safety Applications will expose attendees to the various applications of unmanned aircraft in emergency scenarios, and how they may fit their respective agencies. The training will help students identify and define their UAS agency's objectives, ensuring their subsequent efforts support their specific program and the practical completion of identified mission sets.

Attendees will examine current laws and regulations and develop a preemptive approach to regulatory compliance, including Part 107 rules adherence.

UAS Deployment for Emergencies

This portion of the curriculum covers all aspects of how to conduct UAS operations in emergencies properly. The tasks and procedures discussed are thorough and specific to the emergency at hand. We cover your UAS dispatch policy, IC reporting, and identifying yourself and your UAS equipment.
