The DJI Inspire 1 v2.0 Quadcopter is equipped with a 4K camera and 3-axis gimbal, allowing users to capture high-quality aerial videos and 12-megapixel still photos. Unlike previous quadcopters, it features a retractable arm system that provides an unobstructed 360-degree view for the camera. The quadcopter utilizes a GPS-based stabilization system for precise positioning and spatial awareness, enabling it to compensate for wind interference and prevent stalling. It also offers semi-automated flight modes and an "indoor" mode that utilizes Vision Positioning technology when GPS is unavailable.

The Inspire 1 v2.0 bundle includes the quadcopter, gimbal, camera, transmitter, flight battery, battery charger, and a tablet holder for the transmitter. It is ready-to-fly (RTF), meaning no major assembly is required. The integrated 4K camera shoots videos at various frame rates and features a 3-axis gimbal for stable shots. A live HD feed from the camera can be transmitted to a mobile device or HDMI monitor. The quadcopter's aerodynamic design and retractable carbon fiber arms enhance performance and battery life.

The flight control system includes DJI's Optical Flow technology for indoor stability, and control can be managed through the Inspire 1 Mobile app, which provides access to camera controls and flight telemetry.
